Reports :
My name is Jason Wright. I have not specifically been looking at Russian women or Russian dating services. I have a personal ad on Yahoo! that is intended to help me find potential people to date in my home town in Indiana. Contacts with "Pavlo Sirotyuk" began when he/she wrote an e-mail to me in response to my personal ad on Yahoo!. The first e-mail she sent to me was on 9/09/2001. The last e-mail was on 9/21/2001. The e-mails were nice and introductory in nature at first. The first e-mail was obviously about seeing my personal ad and being interested in further mailing. In the second e-mail, Pavlo just told more about herself. In the third e-mail, she mentions money. She says that it is expensive to use the internet there, and she is running out of money. She says to mail her back and let her know if I can help her out financially. The fourth and final e-mail is almost all about money. It mentions that she is coming to the US as an exchange student, and she'd really like to meet when she comes here. It gives further information about the money she needs to keep in contact until then. It asks to use a service called MoneyGram, and to send money to 82200, Ukraine, Truskavets, 33 Drogobytska Street, which she explains is the address of the nearest MoneyGram service to her. She says that receiving or sending e-mails costs 2$USA each time, but that if she pays 120$USA in one day, she'll have unlimited use. After this fourth e-mail, I put the name "Pavlo Sirotyuk" into a search engine and found that name in the blacklist at this site. Under that name in the blacklist was an e-mail that was the EXACT same (except for the address) as the fourth e-mail I received. Since the person who reported her first sent money and she disappeared, I never sent any money. I did send her a final e-mail and told her what I had found out about her. She never replied to deny what I had found. There were no further contacts.
